Julie Rodriguez has been involved in adult education programs and English language learning environments for the past eleven years. She is a first-generation graduate of Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Ms. Rodriguez’s professional career began in the non-profit sector managing comprehensive, adult education and training programs to residents of Newark, NJ. Ms. Rodriguez transitioned to higher education in 2013, where she supports transnational, multilingual graduate students seeking to enhance their academic English skills.
As the coordinator of the Graduate ELL & ITA Program, Ms. Rodriguez enjoys serving a culturally diverse group of individuals in navigating the American university culture and academic environment. In addition, she collaborates with the International Women’s Group at Rutgers-New Brunswick to facilitate weekly English conversation sessions for group members and visiting scholars.
